（一）工件涂鍍、工件粘接前處理
噴砂能把工件表面的銹皮等一切污物清除，并在工件表面建立起重要的基礎(chǔ)圖式（即通常所謂的毛面），而且可以通過(guò)調(diào)換不同粒度的磨料，達(dá)到不同程度的粗糙度，大大提高工件與涂料、鍍料的結(jié)合力。或使粘接件粘接牢固，質(zhì)量好。

噴砂能清理鑄鍛件、熱處理后工件表面的一切污物（如氧化皮、油污等殘留物），并將工件表面拋光提高工件的光潔度，起到美化工件的作用。
噴砂清理能使工件露出均勻一致的金屬本色，使工件外表美觀，達(dá)到美化裝飾的作用。

噴砂能清理工件表面的微小毛刺，并使工件表面加平整，消除了毛刺的危害，提高了工件的檔次。并且噴砂能在工件表面交界處打出小的圓角，使工件顯得加美觀、加精密。

機(jī)械零件經(jīng)噴砂后，能在零件表面產(chǎn)生均勻細(xì)微的凹凸面（基礎(chǔ)圖式），使?jié)櫥偷玫酱鎯?chǔ)，從而使?jié)櫥瑮l件改善，并減少噪聲提高機(jī)械使用壽命。

（五）光飾作用

對(duì)于某些特殊用途工件，噴砂可隨意實(shí)現(xiàn)不同的反光或亞光。如不銹鋼工件、木制家具表面亞光化，磨砂玻璃表面的花紋圖案,以及布料表面的毛化加工等。
